Reviews and Ratings
Upon arrival, the room was perfectly sized for the 4 of us and had great views of the mountains and ski slopes. The living room, kitchen, bedroom, and huge bathroom with a jetted tub and separate shower were all fine. However, the hotel could improve by upgrading the lounge chairs and being more welcoming to guests from all areas. Service was top-notch overall, except at the Front Desk where service fell a bit short. Dining at Taco Hombre was always complimentary to us as wedding guests, and the crêpes were delightful. The hotel’s location was super convenient but didn’t offer much exploration opportunity, with an interesting visit from a family of bears. The facilities were modern and well-maintained, offering a host of services from ski equipment hire to a welcome drink.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and drawbacks. The rooms, while not overly spacious, were clean and featured a nice balcony overlooking the pool. However, certain room details were missing like a coffee pot and simple amenities. The service from the front desk to valet staff was impressive, especially Brad, who was very helpful. The location was convenient for skiing at Mountain Creek, but lacking shaded areas and umbrellas. The dining experience was limited to basic offerings but was close to the lift. Overall, a stay with some highlights and areas for improvement.
The hotel offers a cozy stay with nice grounds and convenient location for winter activities. The rooms were average, but the noise from the air conditioning unit was a drawback. However, the absence of an in-room safe was a downside.
The hotel surprised me with spacious and well-equipped rooms that were very comfortable, though some details could enhance the experience. The service was friendly, with understanding staff, but there were some cleanliness issues. The location was ideal for access to action park and the brand-new Red Tail Lodge. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with excellent options at Taco Hombre but disappointment in availability. Facilities were convenient, but there is room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. On the bright side, the room was well-equipped with a kitchenette and a spacious bathroom, along with friendly and helpful service. However, the disappointment came from the room not being cleaned by late afternoon, some maintenance issues, and misleading advertising. Despite these drawbacks, the location offered convenience and some unexpected wildlife encounters.
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were a pleasant surprise - large, roomy, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Having a lockable closet right outside the front door to store equipment was very convenient. The service was friendly, though not very informed or coordinated. The location next to the Red Tail Lodge at the base of Vernon Peak was wonderful, offering fabulous hiking and free yoga. The dining experience, unfortunately, fell short with limited breakfast options. Overall, a great place for a mountain getaway, just a couple of hours drive from NYC.
